Every week, volunteer leaders give of their time to walk alongside kids in Glendale, South Phoenix, and Alhambra neighborhoods, as well as kids in foster care group homes across the state. Many of these leaders grew up in the same neighborhoods where they lead.
On average, 80% of students are Hispanic, 8% are African American, 6% are Caucasian, and 2% are Asian.
On average, over eighty percent of students attending schools in these neighborhoods come from low-income households.
For over sixty years, Young Life Arizona has developed an amazing legacy of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Our ministry has grown from a small group of pioneering visionaries in Phoenix to where we are today.
